Interleaved flap wheels combine abrasive cloth flaps with non-woven material to balance cutting action and surface blending in one tool. They are used where a coated abrasive alone may cut too aggressively and a non-woven wheel alone may remove material too slowly. Diameter, width, bore, grit, non-woven grade and flap ratio should be confirmed according to the workpiece and target finish.
